FAQ

Questions about the free procedure

What if my employer finds out about the procedure?
They cannot. Medical data is strictly confidential — neither an employment agency nor an employer can see what your insurance is spent on. Your privacy comes first.
Do I need to show a payslip?
Usually not. The check is based on your BSN number. It is still worth having your insurer's app or policy available on your phone.
I live in worker accommodation — what about registration?
Not having a permanent registered address is no obstacle. Your right to a free procedure depends on your insurance contributions, not on where you are registered.
How quickly can you check my insurance?
Usually within 15 minutes. Once you send us your details (full name, date of birth, BSN/SOFI number) through the form — we'll call you back with an answer.

Legal basis: Wet afbreking zwangerschap (Wafz). Funding: Wlz / Ministerie van VWS. Stadskliniek Utrecht operates under strict IGJ supervision.
